Passaic River Superfund Monitoring

The Passaic River discharges into Newark, New Jersey Bay, and lower reach sediments have been impacted by a variety of contamination sources.

SelkerMetrics monitored 100 acres of submerged sediment, across five locations, for groundwater emergence.  With approximately 100 million independent temperature measurements, SelkerMetrics precisely characterized and located seepage zones across the site.

In addition to locating seeps, sediment scour and deposition were continuously monitored at high spatial resolution using proprietary SelkerMetrics sediment monitoring systems.
